CBSG Program Facilitator Training

Childhood adversity has a life-long impact with broad-reaching effects on families and communities.

The Curriculum-Based Support Group (CBSG®) Program is a unique, multi-cultural, evidence-based curriculum designed to provide children and youth with the skills and support they need to rise above adversity, stay in school, and stay free of drugs, violence, and crime. The curriculum contains numerous activities which promote interactive learning in a safe, supportive and caring environment. Empirical studies show that the CBSG Program significantly decreases: substance use disorders * rebellious behavior * anti-social attitudes * and disruptive disorders and behaviors, and significantly increases *anti-substance use attitudes and beliefs and has a favorable effect for reducing general substance use.
